Occasionally, the unexpected is wonderful: we had a terrible snowstorm, which cancelled the school activities for two days but also prompted a surprise visit from the fiancé. He was in ATL for work but seeing the weather, he decided not to drive up north so we spent the snowy Sunday together, laughing at Russian memes in bed, sitting around talking about liberal arts education at the dinner table + having really animated arguments about the US democracy, and it was all so cute. I'm now more convinced than ever that life is so much less crap when he's around :)
