I woke up today and was like ok I am NOT going to do research I have introduced too many ideas to my brain this week and I need to give them some time to percolate. but then I was reading the populism handbook and was like ok I will allow myself to look up ONE citation, and then that citation was so exciting that I had to just quickly scour the bibliography to write down a few more FOR LATER, except then I started reading about research methodology and got so interested bc I’ve read this kind of writing before in political parties but never realized how deeply/thoughtfully it’s been theorized as a methodology, and THAT meant I needed to just download a bunch of articles to read later... and then two hours later here I am with about twenty tabs open and a folder of further reading and MORE IDEAS IN MY HEAD THAN MY BRAIN CAN COMFORTABLY PROCESS.
