Oh dear..all those "first"s we'd like to forget and we hope no one else remembers either..It's hard not to have moments of self-pity, self-doubt and complete frustration after going through them. I just don't know how to overcome this feeling... Everybody but me was satisfied with my performance, though. My dearest, dearest roomie was there during the lecture and she wrote something like "wishing luck to her petite chocoholic for her first teaching experience" on her status! Ahh, she's such a cutiepie! Katie did almost everything to console me, even though she was also nervous to do her part and she almost fell asleep while waiting us to finish. Even Dan and Ariel told me to take it easy- actually Dan's presentation was more problematic than mine-and Ariel helped me with the examples when I most needed them. Oh, I am so glad it is over and I don't ever wanna do this again..but I'll have to -eventually. Whatever! The actual exam was far better, everything went so smoothly -and the greatest part is that Joe is still being so nice to me! Awesome - or "awe-quite a bit", "awe-whole darn a lot"!! Plus, after the exam, Jamie took us to a Bosnian restaurant and we ate really-really delicious chevapi and nutella/banana/strawberry crepe. Oh my God, it was sooooooo good..so good that after the meal I was as high as a kite, almost as if I were drunk :) Ultimately, though, when all is said and done and I take a step outside of myself for a few minutes I realize they have taught me a lot about myself and my personal independence: how much stronger I am (emotionally, mentally and physically) than I ever thought, and how I truly can make it on my own. I see I have an amazing life, indeed: I'm striving for my goals, I have the highest possible GPA, I have the best family and friends in the world, I get to go out and have fun on a regular basis, I live in New York, and I'm going to Cortland tomorrow to visit my best friend.. Yeah, life is good. ;)) | ||
