I just realized that this is actually the first time this has happened to me. So that's something, you could say.
It has happened, to be fair. But it was always something out of necessity; something else was happening that was entirely out of anyone's control.
Now, it was a conscious decision. So that's a first.
You don't miss the person really, at least in a situation like this. It's more about missing the things that you did with them.
Knowing that you won't get what you used to just feels bad.
