Happy New Year!
Can you believe it's 2010? Where did the year go? Where did the decade go?
To say I live a blessed life is a gross understatement. I live a great life, and 2009 was no exception. Hahah!
And..Ahh, New Year's Eve. A celebration of endings and new beginnings.
The anticipation and build-up for the evening mean it's never as good as you expect it to be. But this year, our families were generous enough to let us spend NYE in NYC, so we were able to see how they do New Years. Obviously, NYC was pretty much insane on New Year's.
Sure, we've actually been to Times Square on the big night - it was shiny. And beautiful. Yet freezing out! We were there for like 6 hours, in the meantime we wished somebody's mom in Brasil happy new years, we screamed everytime J.Lo was on the stage, and we chatted with people from Russia, Germany and God-knows-where else. Best of all, we could watch the ball drop and counted down the final minute -so, it was definitely worth it:) To be honest, midnight was a little awkward; because, while every couple was kissing we had nothing to do but to hug each other. (Not to mention, I've always thought that getting a midnight kiss from your special someone is one of the most romantic things EVER! Anyway. Maybe next year? :))
After midnight, we went to Applebee's and celebrated the new year with our sangrias. Mmm! It was fun, we talked about almost anything until morning..We've been together 7/24 for two weeks and we can still find something interesting to talk about -I guess that's what BFFs do all the time!
aaaghhh! It's already 5.15 pm! I should go back to packing up my stuff as I'll be flying to Turkey tomorrow. Yayyy! I can't wait =))
