After resigning as president of Princeton, Wilson went into politics and became Governor of New Jersey. One of his favorite stories was about two laboring men who heard him speak at Newark. "That's a smart guy", said one of them. "He's smart as hell" said the other. "What I don't see is what a fellow as smart as that was doing hanging around a college so long."
But I am beyond relieved, and I breathe a long sigh of relaxed bliss...
