Well, yes, I am tired of returning my books for a small fraction of what I paid for them.

The feeling during my end-of-the-year-cleaning-up was euphoric at first: "Bye bye, Gender and Sexuality in Modern Europe! See ya never, Psych 391!” All those syllibi, gone. All those Power Point slides, gone. Those damn course packs, gone. Then I headed to the bookstore to sell those books back. On my way, I was planning what I could do with all that extra money; after all, I had, like, 12 books this time: Giant, expensive textbooks and lots of novels. With those thoughts in my mind, I unloaded my books onto the counter. The cashier scanned them one at a time, and formed two piles. Next thing I heard was "We can't use these, they're going with the new edition next year.", while he was pointing to the larger stack. He offered me to take them home (so nice of him), or he could donate them to whatever organization it is. I considered taking them – I didn't want to give those away for free! – but then I realized that I'd have to pack them up and carry them all back home. I said "Just keep them," but things got worse when he handed me my money: A whole $47. For 7 books! Thank god, they bought my 'American Legal History' book for $30; because my other 6 books were worth $17! That wasn't even a quarter of the cost of one!

Campus bookstores suck. They convince you that you need to buy a textbook for $150; and when you try to sell them back, all you get is a measly $20 -if you're lucky, of course!
