My 20+ page literature review on the ethnic conflicts is due in less than two weeks. :(
I vowed to spend all weekend at the library working on it, but due to an impromptu trip to the springs on Saturday and Mike's party at night, entire day passed me by. Now it's crunch time and I have no choice but to bang it out. :(
I woke up at like 7am in the morning today. I decided not to waste any time, so I thought I could just skip the long walk to the library and work at home. I told my mom not to bother me, locked the door to my room and settle in for some serious paper writing. Only my desk was really messy. I can't focus when I don't even have space to spread out my books. So I cleaned it. Forty minutes and a garbage can full of papers later, I decided to take out the trash. But before I did that, I needed to make sure there wasn't anything else that had to be thrown away. I began to clean my room, because once it was clean, I would be able to focus.
But then I was hungry. I really didn't eat much today, so I went to the freezer as Corinne walked in. Since I hadn't seen her all weekend, I decided to eat my buffalo chicken with her quickly and then get moving on the paper.
Only it wasn't quick. We ended up talking about Saturday night, her boyfriend, the "slut" that hangs out with him and a large et cetera that would take many pages. Then I was back in the kitchen doing all the dishes in the sink.
Then I was looking for any excuse left not to sit down and write the damn thing. And now that I'm done with my diary as well, I've officially run out of my excuses.
It's 7:16pm now and I'm going to start to work on it.
