![]() They say that you will have new year the way you celebrate the last day of the year that’s passing. Because of time zone differences, I spent the New Year’s eve sending several "waves" of messages to my friends across the world and stuffing my face with all the food friends & family made for the night. We met 2016 with family and a couple of friends in nice and warm atmosphere. If the prophecy is true and I am going to spend my whole year enjoying good food and great company, I don't think I'll have too much to complain about in 2016. And to be honest, 2015 was great in that sense: I met some incredible people and got to go to many places and see lots of cool stuff, I also accomplished most of my academic goals and I’m very happy about it. As for New Year’s resolutions, I guess mine is to find a job in academia? Finally get my driver's license? Keep hitting the gym and eating better for my health? Write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write write and write more? Read anything and everything? -you know, the usual stuff. "May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art—write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." | ||
